I'm not anti-Olympics, I'm anti-taking money from the poor and giving it to rich assholes.

Is he gay?

Posted: March 30th, 2008 | Author: supafamous | Filed under: Personal | 2 Comments »

This came up for discussion at a dinner I was at the other night regarding a friend of mine. Tell me what you think. Details:

- Male.
- Never been on a date (not an official one at least).
- Never been in a relationship
- No fashion sense (wears pleated pants and tapered jeans)
- Never talks about girls in any manner ranging from “Nice tits” to “I like her” to “She’s cute”.
- Conservative and religious
- Mildly (possibly moderately) homophobic

No one wants to ask him if he’s gay because everyone believes that he’d completely deny it but the girls in our circle are 100% convinced he’s gay while most of the guys are at least 50% certain he’s gay. It was suggested that he may be asexual but we decided that men are born with penises in order to stick them somewhere, male or female. Or vacuum cleaner.

So what would your verdict be?

P.S. If you’re a hot single religious Asian female perhaps you can be the guinea pig for us. Just let me know and we’ll set up a double date. You just have to attempt to jump his bones.

The Stuff I Do

- When I walk into a building or large room I always check to see where the security cameras are, where the exits are and where the security guards are positioned. I’ll assess the security guard as well – does he have his chin down, is he right or left handed, can he handle a problem, is he aware of his surroundings, has he positioned himself in a good spot? Are the exits easy to access? How far are they? I scan the room for unusual people, people who shouldn’t be standing around waiting for someone, people who don’t fit in. I do this in 1-2 seconds.

- When I’m outside I scan the windows of the buildings around me. I never turn my head completely around but I use shadows, reflections, partial head turns and I watch where other people are looking to keep track of everything around me. I look inside parked cars that have people inside to see what they are up to.

- From the moment I step off the Skytrain at Joyce or Waterfront (returning home or arriving at work) I try to get home or to the front door of work without breaking stride. I figure out which people are slow walkers and determine their probable course and adjust accordingly. The automated handicap doors open for a certain amount of time and I try to use them whenever possibly by timing my crossing for a time when they are open, if I know it’s going to close I’ll divert and press the button to keep it open all in stride.

- I always try to be the last off the elevator so I can use everyone else as a shield in case of a problem.

Yeah, I’m crazy.

What's going on in Alberta?

My Albertan uncle suggested that my dad watch Fox News if he wanted to get more balanced news as CNN was too left wing.

WTF are they eating up in Alberta?

Spaghetti With Fried Eggs

Recipe of the Day: Spaghetti With Fried Eggs

I made mine with ham and it was a quick and dirty dish that tastes good. It’s easy to overcook the eggs though so you really have to time yourself right, start the eggs with 90 seconds to go on the spaghetti and you should be spot on.

Drawing Lots for Health Care

Drawing Lots for Health Care – New York Times

This is gruesomely funny in a most painful, bad kind of way. Richest nation in the world and because they won’t spend money on health care they create a lottery for people who can’t afford their bills. If you’re lucky the government will cover it.

SAD.

Makes me happy to be a Canadian.

Holy crap, I'm like broke!

I’ve been saying it for a while to my friends but I’ve noticed that the more you make, the less money you have. I’m making good money now and have been the beneficiary of a lot of raises over the past few years and yet I’ve never been poorer. The blame goes to a lot of places – my tastes have gotten more expensive for one. New or more expensive tastes:

  • I drink wine. I try to buy the good $10 stuff but it still adds up.
  • I eat good pate, the stuff from Oyama.
  • I like organic meats but this is for environmental reasons as well
  • I like to entertain. Not cheap!
  • I like good restaurants like Gastropod or Fuel or Rare etc.
  • I support good causes. Doctors without Borders, my alma mater and I have an expensive gym membership with the YWCA which spends some of it supporting families in need.
  • I go to the gym and I’m burning way more calories now leading to more food consumption.

Including household items but excluding my daily lunch I’m spending about $600 a month on groceries and eating out which is a bit of a shock. Figure lunch and my coffee breaks for another $200 a month. Even my fixed costs are high – my mortgage, phone bill, internet, rrsps, bus pass, gym, car insurance etc add up to $2k a month.

New rules:

  • Will raid parents fridge more often, it’s always full.
  • Will only entertain people at my home who take their clothes off.
  • Will only spend money on people who touch my penis.
  • Will pack lunch to work more often (3 times a week)
  • Red meat eaten only once a month
  • Eat out only 3 times a month and will only order 1 drink per meal.
  • Steal.

President’s Choice – PC Great Food – PC Organics Animal Cookies – Original

I love these. I could munch on them all day long.

While I don’t generally like shopping at Superstore I have to admit that their President’s Choice line does produce good products especially now that they are offering organic products. Reason enough for me to shop there more often.

Holding in your farts because you’re not at a point where you can fart openly in front of her is NO fun.

Letting it all out afterwards IS fun.
