Olympic Drinking Games: Why Vancouver Gets the Gold
This part I appreciate. I would have thought places like Germany could outdrink us.

Since I’ve started saying it in Chinese to her I thought it would be useful if we got the other languages documented as well:
Bulgarian: Ето какво каза тя
Chinese: 這就是她說
Czech: To je to, co řekla
Dutch: Dat is wat ze zei
French: C’est ce qu’elle a dit
Filipino: Lyan ay kung ano ang kanyang sinabi
Finnish: Se, mitä hän sanoi
Greek: Αυτό είναι αυτό που είπε
Hindi: कि उसने क्या कहा
Italian: Questo è ciò che ha detto
Japanese: 彼女がそう言ったの
Russian: Вот что она сказала
Serbian: То је оно што је рекла
Spanish: Eso es lo que dijo
Vietnamese: Đó là những gì cô nói
I make no claims to the accuracy. Correct and add as needed.

How to survive RRSP silly season.
You can survive it by putting money away each month into a RRSP. You should only take a RRSP loan out if you expect to make less money in the coming year otherwise you should just start saving going forward and not backwards.
One way or another though you should be saving even if we’re talking $50/mo.
In other news, after losing 30+ percent last year I managed to get half of it back this year. So I’m still down double digits. Thanks George W. Bush.

I have a man crush on Peyton Manning, the QB of the NFL Colts. I saw almost every game he played this year and it was incredible to see the skills with which he quarterbacks a team. He’s in complete command of an offense – games like where he had the ball for only 15 mins (out of 60) and still wins the game are just amazing.
It’s hard to imagine football being played any better than by him right now.

Vanoc wont change closing ceremony despite complaints from ethnic groups.
Once you leave Vancouver it’s obvious that we are still a very white country so I don’t know if I agree with those who are upset that no minorities were featured in the opening ceremonies and apparently no minorities will be featured (or even represented) in the closing ceremonies.
That said, it wouldn’t hurt VANOC to acknowledge that Asians exist. After all, the Olympics are being held in a city where the visible minority will shortly (in the next few years) become the visible majority.
Maybe they could do a Charlie Chan impression or something.
If not, I’d settle for an reenactment of the white man giving the natives Smallpox.

Even I didn’t do that when I was online dating and I’m totally a DIRTY OLD MAN. I never even sent pictures of my dick around.

The 2010 Subaru Forester 2.5X Premium, an AW Drivers Log.
I think I mentioned this before but my parents bought themselves a Forester a few months ago partly on my recommendation (based on my renting one for two weeks). It’s not a world-beater and I’d say it’s not even world class but the Forester is a damn good car and that’s the same thing that automotive world says – people like driving it and that’s if you’re an enthusiast like me or if you’re a soccer mom who wants to shuffle the kids to practice.
There’s nothing particularly special about the Forester but it’s one of those cars that has just enough of everything and the mixture is just right. It’s not powerful enough for my tastes nor does the transmission have enough gears and the car is only reasonably done up but damned if I don’t finish each drive with a smile on my face.
And damned if I don’t recommend it to any friend who has a children or who needs a bit of space in a small vehicle.
As a tangent – if you want to know who has the best engines nowadays just look at the four cylinders in each company’s mid-size car. Whoever has the most power and the best fuel economy is king now and that king is HYUNDAI. Yes, HYUNDAI. The worst? Chrysler and VW.
If I don’t get my hands on a TSX soon, I figure I’ll end up in a Hyundai soon. The new Sonata is gorgeous. (I’d prefer a wagon though).

If your time is worth money and you use computers a lot then shouldn’t you just buy a Mac?
I had to use a PC laptop the other day at work and couldn’t believe that people would pay money for junk like that – a tiny trackpad that doesn’t support multi-finger gestures. A keyboard that feels like a toy. Industrial design from the 1980′s. All of this from a business class laptop.
I wouldn’t get out of bed for contract work unless it was at least $75/hr. AT LEAST. So why would I use a PC? Those things are junk.
