I'm not anti-Olympics, I'm anti-taking money from the poor and giving it to rich assholes.

Just give me the money

The girlfriend doesn’t drink so I when a guy has tried to buy her a drink she declines by saying she doesn’t really drink. This is totally wrong. I have corrected her, going forward I’ve told her to say:

“I don’t really drink but if you give me the money I’ll talk to you for 5 minutes.”

Math on the fly

I flunked business calculus and had the 2nd lowest grade on my Math 12 provincial final at my school so there are numbers which I have no ability to manipulate correctly. On the other hand I’ve got estimating arrival time when I’m driving down pat. Case in point:

I cross the border on Sunday and have 32km to the ferry terminal and she asks me if we have enough time to make it to the ferry. I instantly say yes, pause for a moment, and say “We’ll be there 24 minutes” and that’s exactly what happened – we rolled into the parking lot exactly 24 minutes after I did my math.

I’ve noticed that I’ve started doing this more and more with arrival times – I’ll read off the distance from the signage and within 30 seconds I’ll know my arrival time down to the minute and I’ll make it spot on.

I can now accurately predict arrival times for anything from medium traffic up to open roads for any distance over 10km – it’s a nice skill to have although one that I don’t get to use much. Better to have it than not though.

10 Ways to Eat Healthily at the Steak House | Eat This, Not That.

What kind of stupid article is this? Why would I go to a steakhouse and want to eat healthy? That’s like going to a strip club and not looking at the girls.

I’m there to clog up the arteries with a big fat ribeye so that I can rub my belly when I’m done.
