Interior Daytrip : May 23

The Story

After spending a week storming through Vancouver Island and then the Sunshine Coast I decided to do a daytrip into the Interior. My target was to hit Kelowna as quickly as I could and then cruise back in. The roads are beautifully fast en route to Kelowna although not as challenging as the roads on the Island. In addition there was a lot more law enforcement in the Interior than there was on the Island (non-existent).

I dodged one huge bullet early on when a plain clothes cop car was going the other way while I was just cresting a hill at 145 kph. It appeared he couldn't get a reading on me and had to let me go. My luck soon ran out as I got caught by a cop rounding a corner, I hit the brakes but didn't realize the speed limit in that particular section was lower than the rest of the highway and badda bing, I have a ticket. Oh well.
