The Story
Like Christmas 2001 my family headed up to the home of our aunt, Tracy. Tracy is only 5 years older than me and is the youngest sister of my mom and thus she's the one that relates best to myself and Ernie. Like last year all the relatives that live in the Lower Mainland came out which meant a total of 20 people, 12 adults and 8 children (2 children for each pair of parents). For the first time Ernie and I sat at the adult table (we usually sat by ourselves).
As a sign that I'm growing old I looked forward to seeing the kids. They no longer look like trouble to me and I had fun with them this time around (I usually only see the two youngest ones on a regular basis). There seemed to be less gift giving this year, perhaps because things were so hastily organized this year and because there was less reason to be festive this year (a topic for another day).
